Product Description
Sodium gluconate is a white to tan, granular to the fine, crystalline sodium salt of gluconic acid, produced by fermentation of glucose. It is commonly made by the aerobic fermentation of sugar, which can come from corn or beets, to produce gluconic acid. It is widely used in printing, textile dyeing and in metal surface water treatment. Sodium gluconate is also used as a cleaning agent for glass bottles, a chelating agent for cement, plating and alumina dyeing industries and a steel surface cleaning agent.
